Our Promise to You

In a very expensive world, we are very proud to be a not-for-profit, and entirely volunteer run, organisation. It is our promise that we will always do everything we can to make sure our prices are fair, and that we always offer the very best opportunities and services we can. Through excellent partnerships with suppliers and local authorities and communities, we can pass on huge discounts compared to the RRP on equipment and courses, while still making a couple of £ for the organisation to use to fund future events.

We will always be upfront and ensure there are no hidden costs. If you ever have any questions, please speak to us.

Joining Process

To train with us could not be easier and there is very little to do on your part beyond turning up.

What you do:

Contact the club instructor to let them know you would like to come along to a class.
Students (or their parent/guardian) will sign up to our student management system, Coacha, ideally on the first day you intend to attend a class to ensure you get a full 14-day free trial. (Click the ‘Join Us’ button in the top right of the website).
Select your membership option during sign up (your club instructor will let you know the best option). No payment will be taken for 14 days so if you choose not to continue, please let us know asap.
Arrive at your class wearing something comfortable for training, at least 10 minutes before starting, introduce yourself and ask any questions you may have, and enjoy the start of your karate journey.

What we do:

Immediately register you for 28-day temporary insurance cover.
After your 14-day trial ends and your membership payment clears, we will purchase 1-year Public Liability and Personal Accident insurance cover for you. We give the 28-day temporary cover to allow for processing time.
Once confirmed as a full member, we will provide you with a license & grading book along with an electronic welcome pack which will include useful information about your insurance, karate, ettiquette etc.

Costs

See below for a breakdown of the majority of the costs in the BJK. This is based on one person training, but we do offer discounts for families. Please speak to your club instructor for more information.
